Africa’s most profitable airline; Ethiopian Airline, has disclosed that it is negotiating to take over the management of Arik Air; West Africa’s largest Carrier.
Arik Air has been struggling to meet its financial obligations in recent times leading to the takeover of the airline by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in February 2017.

Esayas WoldeMariam, Ethiopian’s Managing Director of International Services, told CNN that the airline had made an offer, and was just waiting for the response of the government.

Investigations by gozzilousblog reveal that Arik Air under the management of AMCON has made visible improvements. Passengers are regaining confidence in the airline and the staffs are now motivated to render excellent customer service.
The current Managing Director of Arik Air; Capt. Roy Ukpebo Ilegbodu recently announced that the airline now carries approximately 4,000 passengers daily.

Gozzilousblog gathered that staff salaries have also been reviewed upwardly for the first time in over 8 years.

Arik Air no doubt has all it takes to shine in the sky; all that is required is responsible management.
Ethiopian airlines; owned wholly by the Ethiopian government, has a history of good performance and profitability so one can only wish the airline good luck in its quest to manage Nigeria’s largest airline.

Nigeria might be the big brother in other areas but when it comes to airline management, Ethiopia rules Africa!
