About a 100,000 passengers are currently stranded around the world as Pilots from Lufthansa German airline commenced a two day strike at midnight due to a protracted dispute over salaries.
Lufthansa says  about 100,000 passengers will be affected by flight cancellations.
Pilots’ union ;Vereinigung Cockpit (VC)  which has been coordinating the strike - along with 13 others  unions since April 2014 said in a statement that almost 900 flights were cancelled by Lufthansa on Wednesday including all the long-haul and short-haul connections departing from Germany.
Hope this will not lead to chaos at major airports around the world! Lufthansa needs to find a lasting solution to the issues raised by the pilots.
