VIP Movement Disrupts Air Peace Flights, Passengers Compensated With Free Tickets

It is no longer news that budding Nigerian Carrier; Air Peace had flight disruptions this weekend but the airline has come out to explain that though the disruptions were caused by VIP movements, the affected passengers were provided hotel accommodation and free tickets in line with the airline’s customer-centric culture.
The airline’s Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Chris Iwarah, in a statement said the airline regretted that its loyal customers had to go through a lot of strain due to an occurrence that was beyond its control. He explained that her flights could not secure clearance for takeoff because of the movements of VIPs.
However, it is heartwarming to hear that affected passengers were given hotel accommodation and free flight tickets all at the expense of Air Peace after being rescheduled on the next available flights.
Anyone familiar with Nigeria aviation will know that VIP movements can mess up any airline’s schedule. So the next time you are travelling by air in Nigeria, pray there will not be any VIP movement as that can mar your travel experience. Anyway, it will be a good idea for the Federal Government to start compensating airlines for losses incurred due VIP movement. I pass that on to the aviation minister; Sen. Hadi Sirika.
