Arik Air Reaffirms Commitment to Safety, Spare Parts Store Worth over 250M USD
West and Central Africa's largest airline Arik Air is renowned for Safety and the airline has come out once again to reaffirm her commitment to safety urging her teeming customers to disregard any contrary report as it has a well stocked Spare Parts Store valued at over 250 million United States dollars to cater for her aircraft maintenance.
The Spokesman of Arik Air; Mr. Adebanji Ola said in a statement made available to the media yesterday that the airline not only adheres strictly to international safety and operational standards but also deploys modern aircraft that are well maintained by world class Engineering Firms.
Arik Air says its safety culture has earned her four consecutive successes in the International Operational Safety Audit(IOSA) conducted by the International Air Transport Association(IATA)" with the last two audits cleared successfully without any findings"'
The statement continues"' This achievement has also earned Arik Air, EIOSA (Enhanced IATA Operational Safety Audit) making it the only airline in West and Central Africa region to have such certification"
While reiterating her commitment to observing optimum safety procedure, Arik Air said it "operates the youngest fleet in West Africa with an average hull age of 7.8 years and has an existing contract with world renowned maintenance providers such as Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cityline under full “turnkey” maintenance service contracts and other leading maintenance service providers such as SAMCO Engineering, South African Airways (SAA) Technical and Ethiopia Engineering"
Arik Air says its Maintenance/Engineering department has been audited severally by external auditors who have attested to the airline’s provision of a safe and reliable aircraft operation.
The truth is that the Aviation Industry is highly regulated and for the global aviation regulatory body; IATA to certify Arik Air's flight operations and safety procedures over and over again, it shows that the airline is getting something right.
