Nigeria's Dana Air Gets IATA Certification

One of Nigeria's domestic airlines ; Dana Air has joined the league of IATA Cerfified airlines having successfully passed  the International Air Transport Association,s (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
The Accountable Manager of the airline Mr. Obi Mbanuzuo said getting the IOSA certification is a double celebration for Dana air is "the only domestic airline to have passed a similar audit conducted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and its foreign partners, the Flight Safety Group.’’

Dana was on Wednesday November 30 , 2016 admitted into  IATA  global safety registry.

This is really a big addition to the profile of Dana air.

Aero Contractors: Temporary Flight Suspension is a Safety Measure Says NCAA

Nigeria’s oldest domestic carrier Aero Contractors has just suspended scheduled flight services with effect from today September 1, 2016 but the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has dismissed claims that some airlines in Nigeria were shutting operations insisting that the airlines in question merely suspended scheduled flights temporarily as a safety measure. While explaining that Aero Contractors still operates charter services, the Director General of NCAA; Capt. Muhtar Usman Says the airlines were merely embarking on a temporarily suspension of flights to overhaul and strengthen their operations.
